I Don’t Discriminate: Would You Date Someone With A Physical Disability?
For me it would depend on where I met that person, like if we had something in common and met like at the doctor’s office, or at college, or maybe at a wedding, for me it would be anything where I met a person where I was talking with them eye to eye level. That way a conversation would have begun. I think it’s difficult, although happens all the time with people over 50, that one person may be in a wheelchair because of a stroke or something and it’s already known they need you around to help them, that way a person might feel empathy or obligation or not want to hurt the person’s feelings so they stick around, and it might not be love.
At that age though companionship may be more important than that first marriage thing that young people experience.
The case of not penalizing disabled persons who have a demonstrated need, and evaluating that need based on the individual diagnosed with the disability and that person only. That is the goal right? Unfortunately, having a married status does require the combining of both incomes.
Being the only child, the apartment belonged to me by default. But life changed a lot in the last five years. I’m thirty five and still single. Since my mother died eight years ago, dad was a lonely ape needing a life partner who could stimulate him intellectually and physically. This restless ape’s mentee turned out be an ideal match. My dad, a university professor was grooming Rithika. Rithika was a junior professor- divorcee and already had a son from her ex-husband.
Both the academicians seemed to be aware of the consequences, especially the children issue, including any future property dispute.

I Beg Your Pardon? Dealing with Rude Nondisableds Wrongity wrong wrong! Except for the ones who aren’t, but that’s not because they’re disabled. Disabled people have bodies, and many people with bodies enjoy being sexual with them, because it feels good, it’s fun, it allows them to get closer to other humans, or they just want to give it a whirl and see what all the fuss is about.
Like other people with bodies, you have autonomy, which includes the right to decide if, when, and how you have sex and engage in other activities. One of the things I hear most frequently from disabled youth is that they’re super interested in sex, but have no idea where to go.
Disabled dating on Tinder: ‘People ask if I can have sex’

They spent most of their house hunting inspecting key details like entryway measurements, and how close the toilet was to the tub. The husband was in a wheelchair. We share a common bathroom located down a hallway that is literally a block long. Imagine that with people awkwardly meandering down a hallway while you dodge white canes and people invading your personal space on the elevator.
Like most people, those with physical disabilities just want to be treated with common courtesy and respect. How is sex supposed to work out? Just like sex with anybody else, it can be as complicated or simple as you allow it to be. Depending on the severity of the injury, most people with some kind of impairment can feel some degree of pleasure.
It just means you may have to get a little more creative and be more open-minded about pleasure. So like the Big Red commercials of my childhood used to say, kiss a little longer and stay close a little longer. The important thing is to have a sense of humor and to not make assumptions. Have you ever dated someone who was physically impaired?

However, having a disabled partner can also be emotionally and physically draining and the partners may need someone to talk to about it themselves.

Without a doubt, dating with disabilities presents demands that the majority of people don’t ever have to face. But as lots of men and women like Stephen and Marietta have discovered, just because a relationship is physically challenging, it doesn’t have to be your cue to run for the exits.
Sorry, something has gone wrong. There are various reasons why people discourage disabled people from dating. Some people, like parents, are afraid their adult child will be taken advantage of, or that they will fall in love and end up hurt by someone who is uncaring and just using them. To an extent, it is understandable that a parent would worry about their child. However, this can get out of hand if they refuse to see that their disabled child is fully independent, able to work, live alone, etc.
In this case, the person who is disabled is fully capable of going through the same ups and downs romantically as fully able-bodied people can, and the parents are refusing to let go of that child. Other people discourage people with disabilities from dating for much worse reasons.
